Welcome to River Green Dance, our goal is to provide convenient, affordable instruction through a fun, caring, and family-oriented environment. We are dedicated to inspiring and encouraging every student as they learn about the art of dance.
Lisa Lees, artistic director of River Green Dance, has been teaching for 30 years. Before becoming a dance teacher, she was a part of an internationally acclaimed dance company in high school, which led her to pursue dance in college. She attended Kilgore college in Texas and was a part of the world-famous Rangerettes. Through her affiliation with the Rangerettes, she was hired to work for the National Cheerleading Association where she choreographed and taught dancers to perform for events such as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and the Ireland St. Patrick's Day Parade. After leaving Texas, she continued her education at the University of South Florida and studied ballet, modern, tap, hip-hop, and jazz. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Since then she has moved to Atlanta and danced with a professional modern dance company for several years. During that time she also began teaching and taught at several studios, including her own, in the area before finally taking over the River Green Dance program in 2018.
